Anyone who knows me knows that I love planning parties and entertaining. I enjoy picking a theme, planning the food and most of all I like to plan the best parties on a budget. Below you will find one of my favorite recipes to make for guests along with a FREE party planning checklist printable to use for your next event.
If you have hosted a party then you understand how they can cost a lot of money.
The costs can quickly add up. You may think that you are not spending a lot of money since it is spread out throughout the planning process, but if you sit down and add it up you may be surprised with how much money you actually spent.
One of the ways that I save money on parties is by planning ahead and setting a budget. If you have a budget to stick to then you are more likely to not make unnecessary purchases. A great way to cut the costs once you have a budget is plan ahead and find ways to cut the expenses.
I like to plan my parties weeks in advance. Not only does this give me time to get everything done, but it allows me to get the best deals on the food for the party.
If you plan ahead then you can wait to use coupons and match them with store sales to maximize your savings. Find coupons to use on food, invitations and decorations. This will help you to stay within your budget while still having a successful party.

One of my go-to recipes when it comes to parties, or entertaining guests, are these delicious cheesy bacon appetizer cups. Not only are the yummy, but they only require a few ingredients, which means you do not have to spend a lot of money. I was able to pick up everything I needed to make these Cheesy Bacon Appetizer cups from Walmart. Follow this easy recipe below to make for your next party.
Cheesy Bacon Appetizer Cup Ingredients:
1 cup Kraft Mayo
1 1/2 cups Kraft Shredded Cheese
1 pkg Whole Bacon Bits
24 Filo Baking Cups {in the freezer section}
1 can Rotel
Cheesy Bacon Appetizer Cup Directions:
Preheat oven 350
Start by draining the can of rotel.
In a large mixing bowl combine the 1 cup Kraft Mayo, Rotel and the entire package of bacon bits.
Stir
Add in 1 cup Kraft cheese. You can use any cheese you like, but I always prefer the Mexican blend.
Fill each baking cup and place on baking sheet. I like to sprinkle the tops of each one with a little bit of cheese.
Bake 15 - 2o minutes. I like them crispy so I normally do 20 minutes.
Let cool and serve.
