Whether you are trying to earn a full-time income or are just looking to supplement your current income to build your savings or pay your bills I can show you how to get started.If you do not yet have a blog then check out our post on how to get started before reading the different ways you can monetize it.I will show you the basic outline of some of the ways that you can make money blogging. Every blogger makes their money in a different way since each site is unique. You may find that one of the ways works better than another for you. One of the best tips I can offer is to experiment. Every time you add a new method of monetization it will be a trial and error basis. Once you figure out what works best then you can move onto another form.But, before I go into several different ways to make money you NEED to understand that not everyone makes money from their blogs. It can be very difficult to make money blogging. It takes a lot of hard work and time to build a readership and start earning money. With that said, it can be done! Please do not get discouraged. 1. Google AdsenseThis is one of the easiest ways that you can monetize your site, especially if you are new to blogging. Adsense contextual ads pays you each time someone clicks on one of the ads on your site. You can choose the ad sizes along with if you prefer image and/or text ads. Affiliate CompaniesUsing affiliate programs is a great way to recommend items to your audience that you personally use while still making money. There are a TON of different affiliate programs that you can choose from no matter what niche your blog falls into. SponsorshipA great way to build relationships with brands that you like and would recommend is by doing sponsored posts on your blog. A sponsored post is unique to your blog. Private Ads & Ad NetworksThis income can vary month by month depending on if you sell private ads on your site. I have worked with companies who have paid for sidebar advertising for a month or an entire year on my site. I recently just started with a few other ad networks like Lijit and Media.net to test out other ads on my site. Lijit will pay you based upon impressions instead of clicks like Google Adsense.5. SalesHaving a product or service to sell is a great idea to make money blogging. This could include a variety of items like a book, eBook, printables, and any other idea you have that follows along with your blog.
