Candy Popcorn Recipe
My boys love eating popcorn for a snack! Sometimes we switch it up and let them "make it fun" - as they would say! Not only do they have fun watching the popcorn pop, but then they are able to add chocolate candy to the popcorn! I definitely win Best Mom Award on these days :) Although this is extremely EASY to make I will lay out exactly what you need and how to make each step.
Candy Popcorn Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 Bag of Popcorn {any kind you prefer} or make stove-top popcorn
- 1 Bag of Chocolate Melting Wafers {any color}
- Optional - Sprinkles
Candy Popcorn Recipe Directions:
- Take your bag of popcorn and pop it as per the directions. I always take the easy route and do microwaveable.
- Pour about half the bag of chocolate flavored melting wafers into a microwaveable safe bowl and heat for 30 seconds at a time. Stir in-between. Ours normally melt to a good consistency after about fifteen seconds.
- Pour the melted chocolate on top of the popcorn. I have found that the best way of doing this is by getting a butter knife and covering it with the chocolate to drizzle over top of the popcorn. It spreads it out better so that you are not getting big clumps of chocolate all in place.
- Add any other toppings. We added some sprinkles because they are my boys' favorite. {I don't know if they just enjoy putting them on or actually eating the sprinkles!}
- Enjoy!
