Kids Shamrock Shake Recipe
Kids Shamrock Shake Recipe
Since St. Patrick's Day is coming up I thought it would be nice to treat my boys to a homemade shamrock shake. This recipe only used a few ingredients so we had everything we needed already at the house. You can alter the recipe with a few other options if you do not have the necessary items.I have a Nutri Bullet which does not make a large quantity so you will need too add a little more of each ingredient if you have a blender.
Kids Shamrock Shake Ingredients:
- 4 Scoops Vanilla Ice Cream {You can use Mint Chocolate Chip too!}
- 1 1/2 Cups Milk
- Green Food Coloring
- 4 Cool Mint Oreos {Or Regular Oreos }
- Peppermint essential oils {optional}
Kids Shamrock Shake Directions:
Add the ice cream, milk and food coloring and mix. I only added a few drops because I do not like to use a lot when its for my kids. The mint chocolate chip ice cream would alleviate this ingredient since it is already green. You can see from my pictures that it is only a light green. After you have made the milkshake I then add the Oreos. I slightly crushed the Oreos first before adding them to the shake and then blend it again. Pour it into your cup and enjoy!I got our cute St. Patrick's Day straws on clearance last year, score!You can also check out our Chocolate Mint Trifle which is perfect for St. Patrick's Day!
