If you purchase a bottle of water everyday you could potentially be spending more than $50 a month just on water. Overtime that money does add up.3. Set up a car pool to save money on gas every day. Gas prices are high so this is a big money saver. Depending on your job this may not be an option. But, think of other occasions in your life where you can carpool. Do your kids do after school activities or participate in any clubs? Again, this is where it is nice to have your daily activities written down. You may not think you drive a lot but when you see a week in perspective you may be shocked.4. Join the rewards programs at all the stores you frequently shop at. You can get discounts, special promotions and freebies by using your store card. Plus, many stores give special promotions and mail high value coupons to reward card holders.5. Pay attention to the little extras that add up. For example, using an ATM machine that is not in your bank can have high fees. Each time you withdraw money you can be charged anywhere from $1 to $4. That adds up, especially if you go to the ATM every couple of days.
