How To Make A Diaper Baby Carriage for Baby Shower
I am always trying to come up with fun and creative gift ideas for baby showers. Here is a picture of the Diaper Baby Carriage I made for my sister-in-laws baby shower. I am honestly not a very crafty person, so I was surprised that this turned out okay!I searched online to get some ideas and inspiration on what I could make. I wanted to come up with something unique that would still include some items from her registry. This Diaper Baby Carriage was very easy to make.
Here is what I used to make the Diaper Baby Carriage for Baby Shower
- 3 Receiving Blankets
- 1 Fleece Blanket
- Diapers
- Empty Paper Towel Rolls
- 2 Old Boxes {I used the box from the diapers and an old wipes box}
- Ribbon - thick and thin
- Bow
I started by cutting the boxes to make the shape of the baby carriage. I actually fit the smaller wipes box into the bigger diaper box and it worked great. You will need to stuff the bottom box or use a thick blanket for it to be propped up inside the box and still look nice. I used the extra diapers from the box.I then wrapped the receiving blankets around the boxes and secured them with tape/pins. Then insert the blanket that you are going to use in the middle. Since she chose this cute bear blanket I didn't use a baby doll in the carriage, but it would look nice with a doll or stuffed animal sitting inside the carriage!To make the wheels you will need to stack the diapers and layer them around one another and then wrap with a rubber band. Its easy if you start by placing 1 diaper on the ground face up and then place the next one on top. Place each one a little bit farther down then the next. Once you have the desired amount of diapers pick each end up of the line of diapers you made and form a circle with the diapers by cupping your hands around them. To secure the circle place a rubber band around them.I then put the wheels onto the empty paper towel rolls and used a thicker ribbon to cover up the rubber bands. Continue this process until you complete all 4 wheels. You can then pin the wheels to the bottom of the baby carriage that you have created. I added the extra ribbon to hold them in place better while I transported it.You can add a flower, ribbon, or even tissue paper to the centers of the wheels to make the Diaper Baby Carriage look pretty.
