I love making this because it extremely easy! You can even alter the recipe to add in some fragrance or other items that you like. Use our easy step-by-step directions to make your own! I love the fact that it can be easily given as a gift too.
Easy Sugar Scrub
The expensive sugar scrubs that you see in stores cost next to nothing to make, so STOP wasting your money and start making your own sugar scrub.Not only does it make your skin feel super soft but it leaves a nice aroma as well. I love exfoliating my skin especially in the Summer time. Most of the ingredients that you see below you probably already have in your pantry.
Brown Sugar Scrub Ingredients:
- 2 Cups Brown Sugar {lightly packed}
- 2 Cups Sugar
- 1 Cup Oil {I used olive oil, you can almond oil too}
- 1 tsp. Vanilla or you can use essential oils {I love using the lavender and jasmine in this recipe!}
Brown Sugar Scrub Directions:
Pour the brown sugar and the regular sugar into a large mixing bowl. Next add the oil and vanilla and stir. Make sure you stir it thoroughly so that it is consistent all the way through. You do not have to add the vanilla. I added it for the scent. You can then put the brown sugar scrub into separate glass jar to keep for yourself or give as a gift.Although it smells good enough to eat, PLEASE DON'T! This sugar scrub has a shelf life for 2 months, but if you are like me you will probably use it often and will not have to worry about that.Also, check out some of our other DIY projects: Mason Jar Vases, Washable Sidewalk Paint or Baby Shower Diaper Cakes!Also, make sure you checkout the Frugal Fanatic Facebook page and follow us on Pinterest for even more DIY projects, recipes, saving money tips and more.Let us know what you think of this sugar scrub or leave a comment of how you make your own!
