Butternut Squash Baby Food Directions:
Start by pre-heating your oven to 375. Make sure you wash the squash {haha that rhymes!} first. Next, cut it in half lengthwise and place the squash face down into your baking dish. I like to add a small amount of water into the bottom of the dish to prevent it from sticking. Cover the baking dish with foil and cook in oven for 45 minutes.
Once it is cooked you can remove it from the oven and let cool. I like to use an ice cream scooper but you can use a spoon as well to scoop out the squash. Make sure you discard any seeds.
Next, you can add it into your blender or food processor to puree. I always add about a 1/2 cup of water to make sure it is the right consitency. You can also add breast milk or formula to thin out the squash.
Serve, refrigerate or freeze immediately after making it.
